Brief History of Scandinavian Languages
Scandinavian languages are generally spoken in the Nordic countries of Europe.
Although several Scandinavian languages are mutually intelligible, mutual understanding is not the same across all Scandinavian languages. For instance, Norwegian speakers are better able to understand other Scandinavian languages, while Danish speakers from Copenhagen or Swedish speakers from Stockholm have more difficulty understanding them.
